A curious and enterprising girl, after finishing secondary school (summer 1995) partly for fun, partly as a challenge, I decided to start working. I wanted a job that I was passionate about, so I chose to be a hairdresser, starting in a small salon: ’Luisella parrucchiera’ in Chieri (TO). 

After the summer I decided to continue working, but also to enrol in the Professional School for Hairdressers CPA Unali: after 2 years I obtained my diploma (58/60), attending school only on Mondays because from Tuesday to Saturday I worked in the salon. In 1996 the need for new discoveries took me out of my comfort zone and I decided to change salon, I moved about ten km from home and went to work in another salon in a small town: here I grew, training both in terms of communication with clients and at a professional level. My need to discover led me to set off on new adventures, and while browsing through the brochures of professional magazines, I was attracted by an advertisement for a Made in Italy company that attached great importance to the training of its employees. So in 1998, after various searches, I went to work in the city of Turin at a salon that followed the method of “Tagliati per il successo” (Cut for success). At that time this chain was headed on an artistic level by IRVINE RUSK and his American team. During those years, I grew on a technical and stylistic level thanks to the courses I attended, and it was from here that I began to take an interest in skin treatments, because thanks to this company that distributed products for HEALTH AND HAIR WELL-BEING, I was also able to get to know this branch of my beloved work. My hunger for growth was not well seen by the owner, so I decided to go in search of a “Tagliati per il successo” salon and so I started to travel around Italy from TURIN to ROME, then TURIN again. In 2005 I arrived in Segrate (MI), because during a course I had met my work teacher and I finally worked at a “Tagliati per il successo” salon. I worked both in the salon and at the company during the weekends to teach my colleagues; I was mainly aimed at training in the care and wellbeing of skin and hair but, as often happens to co-workers, for the umpteenth time I was clipped of my wings. 

Tired of these situations and thanks to the encouragement of those around me, in 2015 I decided to open my own business, “CHANGE OF STYLE”The name was chosen because the era of BIO products had begun, which I have also used for my epidermal health problems since childhood. 

But... there always remained a desire, a dream, to study the subject where hair, skin, scalp “live”: in short, a specialisation. Thanks to the forced lockdown, thanks to social media, I finally found the academy that was right for me and in February 2022 I started a specialisation course at the’Academy of Trichology based in Mondovì (CN). I spend a year between study, work and family, but trichology - the science that studies skin, its anomalies, hair, hair loss - is a passion. It is important for me to know the subject I work on, but this academy goes beyond teaching basic trichology: it is trichology 

integrated because the human being is a world, it is mind, spirit and body, everything is connected. 

In February 2023 I finally pass the exam and today I can finally say that I AM a trichologist technician for all intents and purposes! 

But it doesn't end there! Because my/our job as a hairdresser is not only fashion, cuts, colours! It is also a constantly evolving science like mankind, so we continue to study in order to always offer better advice and services!
